**The opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bridge Engineer to join our expanding Whangerei based team.

Since 2020 we have been delivering bridge engineering and structural asset management work for the Northland State Highway network. These works include design and delivery of bridge or road structures strengthening and remediation works, along with new and replacement bridge solutions. This opportunity is primarily associated with supporting the state highway work and extends to growing opportunities in the wider civil structures space in the Northland region. You will be working alongside the experienced structural and multidiscipline regional team with close support from the Auckland Civil Structures team. Working amongst a group of highly motivated professionals, you will step into an open and supportive culture that values the skills you contribute to the team.

**About you**

You’ll have exceptional communication skills and enjoy working within a tight knit team environment, but also ability to work collaboratively with other regional civil structures teams. You will have designed bridges/structures previously, and you will be a motivated designer and seek to enhance the delivery of projects with innovative concepts, and ways of working. You will be aware of the full design delivery process from developing concept designs through to detailed designs and construction. You will have professional certification or be motivated to achieve chartered engineer status within the next couple of years and we will support you in doing this.
