**Position Summary**

As a Test Analyst at Catch Design, you ensure the successful functionality of high-quality mobile apps and websites. Working closely within a cross-functional team, you will carry out a range of testing activities to support the effective release of software that meets client needs and our level of quality. Your role includes designing and executing test suites, automating testing, end-to-end UI testing, analysing test data, writing and preparing test reports, collaborating with stakeholders, and continuously improving Catch’s testing standards and processes. Aligned with Catch Design's mission to "do good by our team, do good by our clients, and deliver great work," you ensure that our projects consistently deliver seamless user experiences and reliable performance.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Testing Strategy and Execution**:

- Implement end-to-end UI testing using frameworks like Selenium and Appium to ensure comprehensive test coverage and review test data from these frameworks.
- Identify, log, and track bugs or issues affecting usability and functionality, ensuring clear communication of defect details.
- Write and present detailed test reports to stakeholders, summarising testing activities, results, and recommendations.
- Support the successful delivery of low-defect, high-quality solutions through thorough functional, regression, and smoke testing.

**Collaboration and Client Engagement**:

- Partner with the Project Delivery team and other stakeholders to align testing with project goals and timelines.
- Act as a client-facing advocate, attending project meetings, work-in-progress sessions, and stand-ups to represent testing needs.
- Build collaborative relationships with clients, providing updates and insights that align with their expectations.

**Process Improvement and Best Practices**:

- Champion testing standards at Catch and contribute to refining testing methods, including identifying opportunities for process automation.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads and Developers to identify and integrate automated testing solutions, including end-to-end UI frameworks.
- Stay informed of industry best practices and recommend new testing tools and methodologies that enhance testing quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and adopt new testing approaches that support innovative and reliable user experiences.

**Documentation and Knowledge Sharing**:

- Produce and maintain clear documentation for testing processes, results, test reports, and defect tracking.
- Mentor other testers and share knowledge across the team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Contribute to staff recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding within the testing practice.

**Quality Assurance and Security**:

- Ensure comprehensive test coverage, including identifying security vulnerabilities and supporting measures to mitigate risks.
- Actively participate in scoping and estimating work, aligning testing resources with project needs to deliver on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in using tools like JIRA for documentation, defect tracking, and project management.

**Essential Qualifications/Experience**
- 5+ years of commercial functional testing experience, including designing and running automated test suites, functional, regression, and smoke testing.
- Experience automating end-to-end UI testing using frameworks.
- Proven experience testing Android and iOS apps in an Agile environment, with at least 3 years of Scrum experience.
- Proficiency in writing and presenting test reports to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Charles Proxy) and database query tools.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft App Center, JIRA, and other testing tools for documentation and defect tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects within time and budget constraints.
