**About the company**

Our client is a fast-growing startup working on wireless laser energy transmission systems to power sectors and systems underserved by traditional grid infrastructure, such as the aerospace industry. They are backed by some of the best investors in the world, and they are working with the most advanced aerospace organisations to develop novel and exciting capabilities.

**About the role**

Working out of their laser development facilities in Parnell, you will have the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that has the potential to revolutionise the way we power our world.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Develop advanced optical and photonic systems to enable long-distance wireless energy transmission and delivery.
- Design and implement safety mechanisms for laser energy transmission systems.
- Build, test and iterate on physical experiments and prototypes to validate designs.
- Continuously monitor and improve system performance.
- Write technical reports and present findings.

**About you**:

- Evidence of exceptional aptitude in physics or a related field.
- Experience working with lasers and photovoltaics.
- Strong knowledge of optical and laser safety features—such as optical cavities and low-power mode—with the ability to design relevant subsystems.
- Hands-on experience in building laser facilities to validate designs.
- Proficiency in optical simulation and design software such as Zemax or CodeV.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in the aerospace industry or other highly regulated sectors.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations relating to high-powered lasers and optics.

**How to apply**

**Salary**: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
