- Building & ConstructionThis design and build firm based in WANAKA are seeking to appoint for the role of Estimator / Quantity Surveyor.

**Your role will include**:
Pre-Construction Estimating:

- Prepare tender documents and assist in bid submissions.
- Compile SoQ's in line with standard methods of measurement.
- Accurate cost estimation utilising cost planning, elemental, and first principle
estimating techniques.
- Compile and maintain Cost-x rate and phraseology libraries (training will be provided).

Post-Contract Quantity Surveying:

- Materials procurement and subletting.
- Subcontract and Head Contract Administration.
- Client Claim and Subcontract Payment schedule processing.
- Cost control and variation management
- Monthly cost reporting

Commercial Software Tools of Trade:

- CostX
- CAT projects
- Bluebeam/PDF editor
- Microsoft Project
- QV Costbuilder

**You will have / be**:

- A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field Minimum 4 years’ experience with a commercial main contractor in New Zealand
- Intermediate to advanced in using CostX measurement and estimating functions.
- Experience and understanding of NZ Standards methods of measurement.
- Experience and understanding of NZS3910/3916 and Master Builders SA 2017.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
