**The Client**:
Our client is one of New Zealand’s largest contract packaging manufacturers, as well as a leading supplier of hospitality amenity products. Their modern and busy facility packages both food and personal health products for domestic and international markets, working with over 60 different production lines Based in south central Auckland, they are conveniently located for their team, many of whom are long-standing employees.

**The Opportunity**:
With an outstanding attitude towards flexible hours for their staff, our client’s factory runs from 7.30am - 6.00pm Monday to Thursday, and from 7.30am - 4.00pm on a Friday. Are you looking for an earlier or later start? Extra hours? Hours to work around family commitments? Our client will do their best to accommodate your needs.
As a Plastics Engineer, you will be working with blow mold and injection mold plastics equipment, setting dies, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial FMCG machinery and assisting with setting up other related production lines. This role commonly overflows into general packaging engineering work, providing a good level of diversity and variety, not to mention that there are over 60 production lines to learn about
With this role being sole charge and having a flat reporting structure, there is no reason to worry about micromanagement within this team of 6 engineers.

Our client is in search of an experienced die setter who also possesses strong mechanical engineering experience and knowledge.
- Experience working with blow mold and/or injection mold equipment
- Die Setting experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude for fault finding, maintenance, hydraulics, working a lathe and mill etc.
- Electrical aptitude for troubleshooting / fault finding is highly beneficial
- A background in FMCG or within the plastics industry
- Keen attitude towards learning about new equipment
- Proactive, self-motivated, and independent mindset
