Our Hamilton based service is seeking a qualified and experienced counsellor to engage with children and their families and work with them towards achieving positive and lasting differences in their lives.

**Ngā pūkenga kei a koe **I Your Skills and Experience**

You are an experienced and proven Counsellor who has a professional, warm and engaging nature. In addition you are / have:

- Membership with the NZAC (New Zealand)
- Familiar with strength-based practice principles; and competent in counselling theories
- Competent in working with families affected by multiple issues including domestic violence and child abuse
- Able to engage with families where signs of safety are an issue
- Experienced in working individually with children, with families, and in group settings
- Enjoy group facilitation
- Thrive in a busy multi-disciplinary team
- Show exemplary professional practice
- Have outstanding communication and people skills Knowledge of tikanga Maori an advantage
