**Job Description**:
Our team is responsible for Test Automation frameworks and infrastructure, including creating and maintaining our tools and processes. This includes supporting Product Engineering Teams on their Test Automation journeys so they can ensure that the product can be delivered quickly with a high level of quality. We also collaborate on proof of concepts with teams that they leverage to take ownership of their own coverage decisions and implementation.
The following is an indication of the level at which a successful applicant will be expected to act after an initial adjustment period:
**Driving Change**:
- We lead the charge in making changes wherever changes need to be made. Processes, tools, systems, attitudes, formats, goals, relationships, structures, etc.
At the senior level a Test Automation Engineer is familiar with industry trends, influences people they work with, understands elements of the business, uses learning opportunities as opportunities to teach, leads initiatives within the team, and has a good understanding of their team and its impact on the organization.
**Mentoring Internally and Externally** - We teach and guide one another to improve and succeed in all aspects of our roles. Not only members of our own team, but members of other teams as well.
At the senior level a Test Automation Engineer has mastered the ability to express complicated issues simply, contributes to training sessions, coaches other engineers to grow their skills, engages in productive dialog, influences others regarding job function, is self-aware, coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals, and is beginning to broaden their impact on the organization.
**Technical Ability** - We use our skills with tools and code to write tests and frameworks that are fit-for-purpose, in line with industry best practices, reliable, and efficient.
At the senior level a Test Automation Engineer applies technical knowledge from a variety of industries, contributes to the foundational good of their domain, excels at troubleshooting, follows the broader engineering community, and is proficient in all relevant technical skills.

- We use our QA backgrounds to emphasize the need for our work to be done to a high standard so that it can stand the test of time and deliver the best results.
At the senior level a Test Automation Engineer consistently advocates for quality, suggests solutions to problems impacting the team, asks for guidance when needed, and makes well-reasoned design decisions.
**Product Knowledge**:
- We understand our product, how our customers use it, and imminent changes so that we can design our tests and tools to maximize the enjoyment of their experience.
At the senior level a Test Automation Engineer has a basic understanding of competitors products, has a basic understanding of our product and its architecture, has an in-depth knowledge of some areas of our product that they have worked in.
**Independence** - We act autonomously, reliably solving complex problems in professional ways, initiating collaboration and communication as needed without a lot of oversight.
At the senior level a Test Automation Engineer provides visibility and advice based on their own work, requires mínimal direction or oversight, handles open-ended ambiguous problems well, is trusted to do what they say they will do, and works under limited supervision on mildly complex problems.
**Qualifications**:
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Proven automation experience in C# (or similar), API Automation
- Proven experience in mentoring and development of juniors 4 or more years background in development, testing or technology role
- Functional Testing experience
**Desirable technology skills**
- You’ll have some of these, not necessarily all of them. But you’ll have to capacity to learn them all.
- Selenium WebDriver, SpecFlow or equivalent test framework
- C#, Javascript, or at least one
