About the Role
This is a key role within Datacom’s Digital Engineering Service line reporting to the Practice Manager for Microsoft Engineering. This role has the mandate to drive Azure Application innovation within our key accounts using cutting edge Azure and cloud native designs. The role needs to lead technical and business conversations at an architecture level with our customers and assist with a variety of software engagements from consultancy to large cloud transformation projects.

**This role will see you**:

- Lead workshops with our customers to assist them with technical guidance, architecture, cloud adoption and delivery planning.
- Run architecture governance forums throughout the development lifecycle across customer engagements.
- Standardize solution design and architecture practices to ensure the best customer outcomes.
- Developing strategies to satisfy likely future business and operations strategies, plan complex activities involving coordination of activities of other teams and provide technical leadership for complex projects.
- Lead pre-sales, provide technical support and knowledge to our sales and business teams when required.
- Be an Azure evangelist and develop deep relationships with key customer IT decision makers.
- Supporting the company-client relationship and help drive customer satisfaction.

What you'll bring
The Azure Solution Architect role at Datacom is a senior position not only within our architecture practice, but also the work of our delivery teams within Digital engineering business. As you help Customers design scalable Apps in Azure, you will be happy rolling your sleeves and help your team on hands on solution design, while being able to lead presales activities and engage with customers on strategic engagements.
- A clear Software development background is required.
- Excellent customer relationship management, people skills and commercial acumen
- Solid understanding of Azure services.
- Solid understanding of DevOps process and tooling like Azure DevOps and GitHub.
