**The role**
Reporting to Operations Manager Projects, as a Graduate Engineer, you will work closely with HV cables, substation, maintenance, and project staff to provide and share technical advice. You will also be responsible:
- To ensure that all project and contract work documentation are accurate and submitted in a timely fashion
- To develop and manage delivery programmes
- Assist in pricing tenders and project works
- Develop and monitor construction methodologies and assist with construction frameworks and guidance towards project completion
- Carry out field investigations
- Complete engineering checks
- Prepare and submit engineering reports
- Job scoping

Ideally, you have completed an Engineering Degree, with preferred disciplines in Electrical Engineering, or be in your final year of electrical engineering study programme. An understanding or practical knowledge in High Voltage Cables and Transmission will be a bonus. We're looking for an individual who can demonstrate the following:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, maintain collaborative relations with key stakeholders
- Excellent communication, written and verbal
- Enjoy working in team environments, yet able to work self-directed
- Willingness to travel even to South Island
- A Full, clean NZ Driver’s licence
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity in Electrical schematics, drawings will be highly advantageous
- Being a safety champion; Comply with Health, Safety, Quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Comfortable liaising with various people and departments in a multi-cultural environment
- Effective Problem solving and critical thinking
- Ability to be flexible when required
