- Contributing to Healthcare: Transcriptionists play a crucial role in accurately documenting patient information, aiding in patient care and medical research.
- Competitive Pay: Depending on experience and specialization, clinical transcriptionists can earn competitive salaries.
- Skill Development: This role hones strong typing, listening, and attention-to-detail skills, which are valuable in various professions.
- Flexibility: This position offers the privilege of hybrid working, providing flexibility in scheduling after completing 6-12 months on-site.
**About you**
- Good communication skills, high attention to detail and a fresh and positive attitude
- Competent typing skills
- A good understanding of medical terminology
- Previous medical typing experience would be a definite advantage
- Sound knowledge of English, including spelling and grammar
- Knowledge of office systems including digital dictation systems
- Accurate entry of confidential medical information
- Excellent time management skills
- Adaptability, versatility and the ability to cope with change and meet new challenges
- Willingness to work as a team member
- Knowledge and understanding of Treaty of Waitangi.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
