**Job Description** Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

The Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to teach, coordinate placements, and conduct research on the Postgraduate Diploma in Health Psychology. This programme trains students in the required competencies to function as a psychologist working in health care settings and provides a route to registration with the NZ Psychologists Board. This is a part-time 0.5 FTE position. The primary responsibilities are to teach and coordinate placements for the PGDipHlthPsych. Other duties include conducting research, administrative tasks, and clinical supervision of intern psychologists and academic supervision of Master’s and PhD health psychology students.

This is for a **Permanent part-time, 20 hours per **week (0.5FTE) role.
The salary range is $94,981 -$138,721 (full-time equivalent), depending upon skills and experience.

**Knowledge and Skills**

**Essential**:

- Qualification as a psychology practitioner (PGDipHlthPsyc, Clinical doctorate, or equivalent)
- Eligibility for registration as a psychologist in Aotearoa New Zealand.

**Strongly Preferred**:

- Postgraduate degree (PhD) in Health Psychology or related field.
