We are seeing multiple Production Operators - Precast Manufactuing in Waikato, travel or relocation may be required to the Bay Of Plenty, Manawatu-Whanganui, Canterbury & Southland Regions due to the nature of this role and projects of the business.
The main objective of this role is to produce high quality product efficiently and safely.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure production schedule is adhered to, to ensure achievement of the production plan.
- Tends portable concrete-mixing machine and hand-casts structural concrete products, shovels sand, cement, gravel, or pumice into mixing machine.
- Setting up formwork to drawings, check square and stability of moulding
- Read drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures ordering and selecting timbers and materials and preparing layouts
- Produce moulds ready for precast, through cutting materials to size and assembling and nailing cut and shape parts.

- Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
- Dismantle moulds after concrete has cured. Strip, ramp and mark product based on production specifications.
- Operates the automated control consoles.
**Key Requirements**
- Minimum 3 years concrete, precast or carpentry experience
- Previous experience working with precast concrete products essential
- Previous experience reading and interpreting plans/drawings
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Technically able to understand how different products work together to form solutions
- Class 1, F OSH endorsement or ability to obtain
- Gantry crane skills an advantage (ticket 3800)
- Understanding reinforcement an advantage
- Reliable team player
- A safety focused approach to work
Minimum six permanent vacancies based at a Pokeno manufacturing site with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The position will need flexibility to work to work in locations in Rotorua, Palmerston North, Christchurch and Southland from time to time. This position provides a competitive remuneration package with a wage range of $29.66 - $30.00 per hour, health insurance and full PPE.
