Mitre 10 MEGA Hornby is a very busy, family-owned, Christchurch business which strives to offer exceptional customer service to every customer-every time.

Due to continuing growth, we seek the services of two suitably experienced Warehouse/DC people for these busy roles.

Our warehouse team assists with receipting, storage and dispatch of stock for several Mitre 10 stores within the business. We have a full-time opportunity available that will; provide service excellence to the stores we support, maintain a high level of operational standards and ensure a culture of a safe working practices is enforced.

This is a varied, busy role where you will not only be picking and preparing orders for our stores but you will also be unloading and loading trucks, as well as operating a forklift.

**Our ideal applicant will have/be**:

- Full Class 1 driver license _(applicants who do not have a full license will not be considered)_
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment or distribution centre
- Forklift / Reach Truck license with F endorsement distinct advantage
- Class 2 truck license (desirable)
- Strong multi-tasking ability
- Punctuality, reliability and honesty as a natural trait
- Physically fit and capable with no restrictions on lifting or handling
- Adaptable to frequently changing priorities
- Technology savvy, or have a willingness to learn

**The duties of this role**:

- Participate in the safe devanning of containers, unloading and unpacking of stock.
- Ensure all stock entering and leaving the DC is receipted, checked against delivery note/barcodes etc and accurately processed in a timely manner
- Coordinate the delivery, storage and receipt of materials, equipment, merchandise and supplies
- Ensure goods are stored correctly to minimize health and safety risks
- Ensure stock is off loaded from delivery vehicles in good condition and document any damage observed
- Complete branch transfers, returns and credits are processed as per procedure manual
