**Cashier wanted**

We are a busy restaurant located in Christchurch, open 7 days per week. We now require 1 full-time permanent Cashier to join in our team.

We offer at least 40 hours per week, work from Monday to Sunday, and our pay range is from $29.66/hour to $32.00/hour depending on your learning abilities. You will need to be able to work independently and effectively.

**Role and responsibilities**:

- Process customer orders and handle transactions at the point of sale.
- Operate cash registers, receive payments, and provide accurate change.
- Ensure the accuracy of orders and payments.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and other payment methods securely.
- Issue receipts and maintain transaction records.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization at the cashier station.
- Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about menu items or promotions.
- Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to ensure smooth order processing.
- Assist with restocking items at the cashier station.
- Handle customer feedback or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.

**No prior work experience is required for this role but could be an advantage. Training will be provided. Priority will be given to local NZ residence/citizens.**
