**Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

To successfully provide survey related services to support the National Surveying team.

The survey related services include but are not limited to as-builts, site surveys, topographic surveys, set out surveys, monitoring surveys, establishment of survey control to be verified by a Lead Surveyor as well as carrying out survey requests made by Site Engineers and other members of the Construction Team while meeting required specifications and quality requirements.

Key result areas include but are not limited to:

- Project Administration: Set out as required by current program to enable construction of the work to the specified standard.
- Contract Management: Ensure that sufficient evidence through survey is gathered to support claims and variations.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all parties affected by the contract.
- Health and Safety and Statutory Compliance: Comply with Downer Limited Health and Safety policies and procedures and actively support Manager to promote safety on site.
- Zero Harm: Support, implement and adhere to H&S policies and procedures.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills | Qualifications**
- Two years practical experience with construction.
- The flexibility to be mobile as working on projects outside your home base will be required most of the time. It is expected the role will require some time working in Christchurch. (Work outside of Christchurch would be no more than two weeks at a time with one week following to be in Christchurch. Flights will be provided when deemed necessary).
- A survey vehicle and accommodation will be provided with a daily living away from home allowance for trips away.
- Have completed or working towards completion of a Surveying qualification and 5 years’ experience with survey equipment and software OR
- Having completed a Bachelor’s in surveying + 2 years’ experience with surveying equipment and software.
