**Either relevant qualification NZQF Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, or at least one-year relevant work experience (ANZSCO SKILL LEVEL 4).**

A well-established takeaway, which recently has been taken over a new management.

We currently after Two INDIAN cooks: Tandoori cook and/or Curry cook, positions available for the right people and can offer an immediate start with a full-time hour

We offer: $29.66-$30 per hour.

All overtime is paid at the ordinary pay rate.

Wages are paid **fortnightly** in a nominated account.

Full time and permanent **30 hours per week**

Opening hours 12- 2 PM Lunch

5 pm - 9 pm Dinner or as flexibly required.

**Tandoori cook** and/ or **Curry cook**

**Duties**:

- able to prepare and season a range of specialist Indian dishes.
- Cook Indian food curries and tandoori dishes, marination of chicken or other ethnic meat or vegetarian or vegan dishes on the tandoor.
- Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality.
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment
- Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes and dishes served with a good presentation.
- Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- Train other kitchen staff, junior cooks, and apprentices.
- Freeze and preserve food.
- Minimize food wastage.
- Comply health and safety and hygiene and sanitation regulations and policies.

**Salary**: $29.66 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Upper Hutt, Wellington: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
