REGISTERED NURSE ASSISTANT TO ANAESTHETIST (RNAA)
TRAINING PROGRAMME
This is an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses to extend their skills, knowledge and qualifications to work as an RNAA for Te Whatu Ora Lakes.
While initially working solely in the area of RNAA while developing expertise in the RNAA role, ultimately RN's will be able to work as both an RNAA and in other theatre/PACU nursing roles.
The New Zealand RNAA is an existing role within the RN Scope of Practice and the role is professionally aligned to other perioperative roles such as scrub nurse, circulating nurse, and PACU nurse. While the role is new at Lakes, the role exists widely across public and private hospitals nationally.
This is a six-twelve month programme, is fully paid, and involves working under supervision while developing skills, competency and qualifications in the role. The training may require travel to other centres.
