Based in the Waikato, our agency specializes in recruitment for trades-based businesses.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Labouring tasks and assisting the qualified builders to get jobs completed on-time
- Completing bookwork and assessments on-time and booking BCITO meetings without being told
- Learn and practice essential building skills on the job
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Set up and maintain tools for your supervising carpenter

**About You**

For this role we are looking for someone completely new to the trades, however if you have experience and great references we would love to speak to you also. The characteristics of someone who would shine in this role would be:

- Pro-active mindset - Someone who doesn't just take orders, someone who pro-actively thinks about what comes next.
- Responsible - Someone who understands the value of the materials and tools that the business works with and takes care of them.
- Willingness to learn - Someone who completes thier bookwork on-time and is keen and eager to finish their apprenticeship.
- Turns up on-time - Someone who is keen and reliable, will show-up everyday with a positive attitude.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- **Essential -** Physically Fit and Capable
- **Essential -** Must have their own vehicle and be able to get to and from work everyday
- **Desirable -** Has done a pre-apprenticeship course
- **Desirable -** Is Muslim or is understanding and respectful of the Muslim culture

**Salary**: $22.70 - $25.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
