**Te whiwhinga mahi/The Opportunity**

The Kaitakawaenga role is the bridge between the Court and the iwi mandated Whakaorangia te Mana Tangata Service provider, justice sector agencies and whānau Māori.

You will be responsible for championing and supporting Whakaorangia te Mana Tangata through the provision of high-quality guidance, information and pathways to enable whānau Māori to make informed decisions as well as collaborating with lawyers, prosecutors, and other justice sector agencies to ensure better justice and wellbeing outcomes for whānau Māori.

This position will embrace and recognise the two grounding cultures of Aotearoa while creating and sustaining an environment that demonstrates inclusivity and responsiveness to Māori.

**Utu ā-tau/**Salary**

Salary Range: The current appointing salary for this role will be between $77,128 and $108,887 based on skills and experience. From 1 June 2023, the salary for this role will be $81,128 and $112,887.
