We’re looking for a great Civil Drafter/Designer to join our New Plymouth team. In New Plymouth, our Infrastructure and Industrial team work across a broad range of projects - local and international; Industrial, Water, Power, Infrastructure, Community Shaping, Landscape Design, you name it.

Taranaki is an amazing place to live but there’s a perception you can’t work on the big projects here. That’s no longer the case. We’re looking for the right people to come on board and help deliver exciting projects while being able to enjoy the lifestyle that comes with living in the Taranaki region.

**The opportunity**
We’re looking for a Civil Drafter/Designer who has experience in Transport and Infrastructure, Industrial Engineering or Three Waters - ideally all but we really want people that are interested in working on a broad range of projects.

Every day will provide you with new challenges and look a little different, overall, this role will see you:

- Producing CAD drawings for projects such as airports, roads, pipelines, ponds and stormwater.
- Produce, check and issue civil project drawings using AutoCAD, in accordance with local and national standards, and in conjunction with design engineers.
- Assisting with the management, and delegation of CAD related work for the wider team, particularly for large projects.
- Guiding and mentoring new and junior team members with the development of their CAD skills.

**About you**

Your passion, design and problem-solving mindset will be matched with a desire to work on meaningful and significant projects across New Zealand in a multidisciplinary business. You have graduated with a Diploma or above in civil engineering or construction and have experience in using AutoCAD. You will have an enquiring mind, able to problem solve and think laterally. How you work is also important to us - we will value your enthusiasm and motivation to continue to learn from your peers and more senior members of the team.
