You must have at least 12 months experience working in a hotel or restaurant preparing Thai cuisine and demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of Thai ingredients and be
confident in preparing Thai dishes.
You must be prepared to meet our operating and quality control standards.
You will have a positive attitude and take personal responsibility for your own work ethic. You will take pride in the product that you are responsible for producing and your determination to delight your customers will shine through.
As a cook in our restaurant your duties will include
- Preparing Thai dishes to quality standards
Professional use of woks grills, fryers and other appropriate cooking equipment
- Ingredient preparation and management to minimise wastage
- Portion control to ensure quality and maintain product profitability
- Continual attention to detail to ensure a clean and hygienic working environment
- Understand and adhere to all appropriate food control standards
- Receiving ingredients and quality checking receipts comply with all food safety guidelines
- Ensuring unused ingredients are appropriately packaged and stored to maintain shelf life
- Understand and prepare food to special dietary requirements
- Daily/weekly/monthly kitchen clean down tasks
You will be responsible for contributing to the ongoing development of our restaurant products and customer experience as well as ensuring that all daily activities are met and our stock is managed effectively.
You will be self-motivated and be able to communicate effectively with your team in order to ensure team goals are met
This role is for a full time position with a minimum requirement of at least 30 hours per week. Wages will be paid weekly at a rate of $29.66 per hour worked.
