**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a General Manager to lead our client’s Container and Air and Sea Freight division. In this senior role, you will have full profit and loss responsibility for a substantial revenue stream. You will implement the strategic direction, ensuring divisional financial performance, operational excellence, service performance, customer retention and growth, as well as health and safety compliance and outcomes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and inspire a high-performing team within the Containers and Air and Ocean division.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve financial targets and drive profitability.
- Ensure operational excellence across container cartage, airfreight transport, CFS warehouse operations, and metro transport services.
- Collaborate with customers to deliver tailored solutions and enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Champion health and safety compliance, prioritizing the well-being of employees and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service offerings and operational efficiency.
- Review and integrate fleet operations with the broader company's transport division.
- Identify opportunities for expansion and future operations within the market.

**Requirements**:

- Extensive leadership experience in the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on operations, staff management, and P&L responsibility.
- Strong background in international freight, including knowledge of unpacking ocean freight and import container processes.
- Proven ability to work with customers and third-party carriers to ensure efficient freight clearance and distribution.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to foster positive relationships at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with exceptional financial acumen.
- Proficiency in relevant systems and technologies used in the freight and logistics industry.
- Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering excellent service.

**Reporting and Compensation**:
In this position, you will report to the CEO, who values accountability and provides the necessary support for success. The compensation package for this role is commensurate with the senior responsibilities you will be accountable for, and includes a competitive salary, annual bonus scheme and vehicle.
