This newly developed
Expert Occupational Therapy role will deliver professional leadership of evidence-informed
clinical practice for our Adult Community Therapy Service, with an emphasis on neurological
and progressive conditions.

Using your extensive clinical skills and knowledge, you
will work alongside operational and clinical leaders to support patient flow
across our health system, with a focus on keeping people living well in their
own communities and avoiding hospital admission.
You will provide senior
allied health leadership to enable ongoing development of best practice,
promote inter-disciplinary models of care and professional development. This will include leading and co-ordinating
the Service Accreditation Framework within Te Whatu Ora Waitaha and across
wider community providers, including data collection, reporting and
auditing. You will also promote and work
to optimise utilisation of our unregistered workforce to support effective
service delivery.
Fostering relationships within Te Whatu Ora and with wider
networks will be a vital aspect of achieving these objectives.
Ko wai koe | About You;
- Proven experience in managing adults with

neurological and progressive neurological conditions. This includes complex
neurological presentations; multiple physical and mental health co-morbidities
and management of progressive, life-limiting
conditions
- Ability to flexibly integrate interventions using problem solving and
robust communication, whilst being led by your client - s goals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to work alongside,
influence and communicate with a range of personalities
- Can use clinical expertise to lead change alongside clinical and
operational leaders
- Demonstrates ability to inspire and motivate colleagues
- Essential attributes:

- Specialist
knowledge of complex equipment and housing processes
- Extensive
experience in pressure injury prevention and management
- Demonstrated clinical skills in supporting and managing clients with a
palliative prognosis
- Registered with Occupational Therapy Board of NZ
- A full drivers licence
