Baker - The Campus

**We are growing our team at The Campus and we are looking to add a part-time Baker to our team**

The Campus is a catering site located in Trentham within the NZCIS facilities and is focused on feeding all clients on site, from sports teams to Government departments, all who use the accommodation and training facilities run by NZCIS. You'll be working to help create a homely feel to the dining experience by working with clients to suit their catering needs - from cooked breakfasts and packed lunches to feeding 300 people in a dinner service We are increasing our presence in the facilities, and therefore we are looking to grow our team

The purpose of the Baker is to ensure a high quality and variety of items are created and prepped for the FOH cabinet and dessert menu. The Baker will ensure the successful delivery of memorable food experiences for customers with every dish sent from the kitchen while delivering on targets for managing costs.

This is a part-time position with a start date of yesterday This role will involve three shifts per week across a rotating roster with an hourly rate of $30.00.**In this role, you will**:

- Coordinate the creation of baked goods.
- Work with Chefs to ensure correct supplies are ordered for the baking
- Support other Chefs in menu creation when required
- Follow recipes and cooking methods to ensure COGs are met
- Prepare and cook appropriate amounts of stock to meet demand and avoid waste
- Assist with meal preparation for the Lunch and Dinner menu if required
- Previous experience working as a Baker (this is a must), bonus points if in a large-scale catering environment
- Excellent organisational skills
- The ability to work confidently without supervision
- A great attention to detail
- A sound understanding of food safety requirements
- And most importantly, a genuine passion for creating delicious baked goods
