**Sheetmetal Tradesperson**

Are you a skilled and motivated Sheetmetal Tradesperson with a passion for precision and quality' We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Sheetmetal Tradesperson. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will play a vital role in fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and equipment to meet our clients specifications and quality standards.

Reports to: Fabrication Manager

**Purpose of the Role**:
As a Sheetmetal Tradesperson, your primary responsibility will be to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment according to provided specifications and quality guidelines. Your work will be crucial in delivering high-quality products within the expected time frames and meeting client expectations.

**Key Relationships**:

- External: Clients, Subcontractors
- Internal: Colleagues, Fabrication Manager, Leading Hand, Management & Administration

**Key Activities**:

- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Thoroughly review and understand drawings to ensure work is done according to specifications.
- Plan work for time and material efficiency.
- Utilize the correct tools and machines accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate any issues, questions, variations, or delays to the Fabrication Manager.
- Meet all required time frames, specifications, and quality standards.
- Ensure all work is completed according to provided drawings and specifications, using the specified materials and measurements.
- Drill and punch holes for screws, bolts, and rivets accurately in designated locations.
- Weld seams as specified and provide finishes to the expected level.
- Install fabricated items in the correct location.
- Comply with the companys Health and Safety Program, reporting hazards and accidents promptly.
- Participate in safety training and discussions to ensure a safe working environment.
- Contribute to a positive, engaged, and harmonious working environment.
- Provide assistance to complete urgent work when required.
- Protect company interests by minimizing errors, rework, and waste.
- Complete administrative paperwork as needed.

**Key Results**:

- Drawings are thoroughly reviewed and understood.
- Work is planned efficiently and accurately.
- Material usage does not exceed quoted allowance.
- Fabricated items meet quality control standards.
- All activities are completed within provided time limits.
- Health and safety regulations are followed, and hazards are reported promptly.
- Positive working relationships are maintained, and feedback is received and given.
- Delivery dates are met, and administrative tasks are completed.

**Required Skills/Qualifications**:

- Trade qualification in Sheetmetal fabrication.
- Experience in onsite installations and welding.
- Experience acting as a team leader with less skilled labour.
- Minimum 3 years of stainless-steel welding experience, including stainless pipe welding.
- Experience fabricating and installing stainless steel products for food areas to a high level of finish.
- Ability to fabricate and weld in a marine environment to marine standards.
