We have an exciting opportunity for a technically competent **Geotechnical Engineer **in our Christchurch **Gisborne **or **Hastings **office. We have a need for general and flood-related recovery work. Working alongside industry leaders in the New Zealand market, this key role will provide a balance of technical work, business development and mentoring, with opportunities for project management.

The team is continuing to expand with recent nationally significant project wins coupled with our growing core deliverables. It will provide the opportunity to work alongside our Senior Engineers and technical directors based on the East Coast or in Christchurch to allow continued development of your career.

**This role will see you involved in**:

- Assisting the preparation of geotechnical investigations, reports and designs across a number of sections including transportation, water, environment (including dams and landfills), built environments and slip remediation
- Providing technical input and leadership on projects including review QA/QC of project deliverables
- Quality assurance including preparation of high-quality reports, correspondence and other deliverables

**What you will bring to the team**
- BE Civil or related qualification, (chartered or on pathway is desirable)
- 3 to 7 plus years consultancy experience
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Technically competent with the ability to be proactive and take ownership of projects
- Ability to nurture and develop teamwork within the group
