**Service**: Occupational Therapy Permanent part time position in Community

**Contract**: Permanent part-time 0.9 FTE (36 Hours per fortnight) or flexible part time hours, with opportunities for role growth.

**ranga - About the role**

This position is responsible for providing rehabilitation service to clients either at home or in clinic setting. Working closely with internal and external providers and other community and inpatient services.

Eligible clients are referred to Community referral services and accepted to the service when they meet the criteria. The Occuaptional therapist complete an assessment and provide rehabilitation in the community or clinic, the therapist to provide basic equipment and housing modification and you will be working with the community Occupational therapy, Allied Health and wider teams.

- Te Whatu Ora Taranaki employs approximately 350 allied health professionals across its services, and we’re growing our inpatient physical health rehabilitation team by 60%. You will be joining a friendly team that is diverse in skills and experience, a team that welcomes collaboration, and that values the contribution of each team member. Our team provides rehabilitation care across acute and non-acute inpatient wards, and we’re happy to support other teams to ensure their success.

**- About you**
- You will need to have:
- Registered with Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and work within Occupational Therapy board code of conduct
- Experience in rehabilitation and community services (3 years or more preferred)
- The ability to provide efficient, effective intervention for community and inpatients client.
- A knowledge/ understanding of funding processes for Enable NZ and ACC
- A commitment to quality service delivery and comply with the privacy act
- An interest in and empathy with elderly and disabled clients
- Motivated to learn, explore and assist staff and patients during high demand
- Good time management skills and able to work independently and initiate positive change within the service
- Eager to learn
- Work well within a team
