Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our compositing site based in Dunsandel. This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit team, working together to provide planned and preventative maintenance, engineering and mechanical services to our composting site.

**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is your opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team, in a fast-paced working environment. Your flexibility and willingness to lead, learn, and pull together with other team members will help you stand out in this role.
- Permanent, Full-Time salaried position
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- 7am start
- Vehicle provided for work purposes
- May be required to work at our Hornby site on occasion

**The Role**:

- Working as a qualified Maintenance Engineer
- Performing reactive, preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance
- Providing mechanical and engineering services (e.g. welding)
- Maintaining knowledge of current H&S legislation and Meadows H&S systems and procedures
- Provide mechanical resources to enhance efficiency and support operational goals at the site

**You Will Have**:

- A relevant trade qualification (fitter turner/fitter welder), boiler experience would be advantageous
- Proven engineering work experience; work experience in manufacturing or food production environments is preferable
- Have demonstrated a commitment to Health and Safety
- The ability to analyse and problem solve, including conducting root cause analysis and making recommendations
- Experience working as part of a team and good communication skills
- Excellent organisation skills; have the ability to assess and prioritise work
- Be detail orientated
- Familiar with food safety, and HACCP systems is desirable
- Short listed applicants will be required to undertake a pre-employment health assessment and drug test. _
