**About the role**

As a Dry Dock Maintenance Engineer, you will be reporting into the Project Manager. Working within our passenger ferry fleet, your role will be to ensure the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of our vessels. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring there is mínimal service disruptions to the network; through the diagnosis and resolution of targeted planned and unplanned maintenance.

You will be responsible for executing a wide range of complex maintenance tasks, focusing on the intricate systems and components that keep our ferries operational.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

- Primarily conducting deep level maintenance as part of the Dry Dock and preventative maintenance program.
- Conduct in-depth inspections, diagnostics and repairs on critical mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems of passenger ferries.
- Liaising with various internal stakeholders on all aspects of the job
- Contribute to preventative maintenance plans by generating detailed reports and documenting maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot and fault finding
- Parts and inventory management
- Support the On Water Maintenance team and Response and Recovery team and external contractors as required.
- Participate in the on call roster
- Maintaining vessel logs

**About you**

You will bring a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving**.**

Other key requirements that you will bring will include:

- You will hold a relevant trade qualification, marine engineering ticket, diesel mechanic/engineering qualification
- Previous experience within the maritime industry
- Confident in conducting mechanical maintenance tasks on diesel engines, generators, vessel systems including bilges, pumps, fuel systems, transmission and hydraulic systems
- Knowledge and experience with vessel electrical systems including navigation equipment, lighting and cafe equipment is advantageous
- Able to guide and coach others in best practice maintenance standards
- Proactively ensuring you are responsible for you personal health and safety, and that your actions and behaviours don't put others at risk.
