Are you an exceptional Senior Registered Nurse or Associate Clinical Nurse Manager (ACNM) ready to embark on the next chapter of your career?
We are looking for a dynamic ACNM for our Hawkes Bay Flight Team - this role is unique and plays a pivotal role within the Hospital Group. As the ACNM for Flight and Transport you will assist the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) in the provision of situational and strategic leadership.
Typically, the patients require treatment in a tertiary hospital either acutely or electively that cannot be provided locally.
Aeromedical nursing requires you to think outside the box and deal with a rapidly changing environment from the patients to the weather. You will be responsible for coordinating flights, ground transport logistics and will always be considering patient and staff requirements for the flight. There will also be the requirement for you to fly and assist other flight nurses as required.
You will be someone with experience in flight nursing, thorough and comprehensive assessment skills are essential and a comprehensive understanding of the physiological stressors of flight to ensure that all missions are completed safely.
