Y Education Central are looking for **a full time tutor**, Monday to Friday, at our Whanganui site.

Tutors at Y Education change young lives on a daily basis through learning, influencing, and motivating rangatahi to reach their goals. If you have the desire and ability to make a strong contribution to your community through leading and supporting a diverse group of young people and we’d love to hear from you.

To be successful in the role you’ll need excellent communication skills, high standards of integrity and an understanding of Te Ao Māori me ōna Tikanga. A full driver’s licence is essential and a strict attitude toward health and safety.

While tutoring experience is an advantage, we also value your skills and previous experience working with rangatahi. An understanding of adult learning and/or knowledge of NZ education standards will also be helpful in the role.

The Y Taranaki is committed to Child Protection and the safeguarding of children and young people in our care and it is our expectation that all staff will operate in a way that reflects this intent. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
