**The Opportunity**
Comvita Apiaries is one of the largest of its kind in NZ. Our Masterton site is looking for full time, permanent Beekeepers to join their team. Reporting to our Branch Manager, your day to day will involve:
- Securing Mānuka honey production
- Hive manipulation and management
- Responsibility for the quality and peak production of your allocated hives, including disease control
- Collaboration with other teams and branches to support the delivery of apiary performance targets
- Shifting hives as required
**About you**
You will be an experienced beekeeper, ideally with a commercial background, with a passion for Bees You will also be:
- An excellent communicator who can work well with others
- Physically fit with the ability to travel away from home during the peak of the season
- A supporter and promoter of safe working within the day-to-day operations of your team
- You must have a full NZ class 1 license and it would be great if you had class 2 also,
- OSH forklift certificate will be an advantage.
- As an experienced beekeeper you'll be well aware the role will, at times, require some flexibility around hours.
