In
this role you will be mainly based at Christchurch Hospital in the brand new,
state of the art Energy Centre however, work in other Christchurch hospitals will

**be required. Primarily, you will be responsible for**:

- Maintenance and repair of unattended steam

producing biomass boilers, auxiliary plant and equipment.
- Boiler preparation for annual service, survey
and IQP inspection.
- The maintenance and repair of mechanical items and
systems associated with Te Whatu Ora Waitaha buildings such as steam, water, condensate,
compressed air, medical gas and other reticulated systems
- Maintenance and repairs of general Hospital
equipment
- Maintaining a Biomass boiler, including aiding with fault finding and servicing, fuel evaluation, maintaining loading equipment, cleaning out and organization of waste disposal
- Either being part of the 'on-call' roster in a 2 weeks
on/8 weeks off rotation OR working a 5-day schedule that includes weekends for
extra payNgā

**role requires the following**:

- Preferred

certification of ENCHEM level 3- ideally
National Cert Level 3 - Boiler Operation NZQA or ENCHEM level 3
- Welding
and machining preferred
- Computer
