**Muster**recruit are working with **Power Farming** to recruit their next **Dealer Principal** for the **_Wairarapa_** region. The role will be based in the beautiful town of Masterton.

Power Farming are one of the largest NZ owned farming groups currently operating across New Zealand, and as wholesale distributors in Australia and the USA.

This role reports to the CEO and is a fantastic opportunity to further develop the dealership and local area. With close support from the Retail Support Manager, and a strong team already in place, this dealership just needs your strong sales and business management experience.

As the Dealer Principal you will be accountable for managing and leading the day to day operational and commercial aspects of the retail branch to maintain and grow market share whilst remaining profitable, without compromising on quality, service or safety.

**The Detail**
- Ensure all departments follow best practice to maximise efficiencies
- Accountable for the branch financials and maintain a profitable retail operation
- Achieve all sales, financial and operation targets
- Control overhead and achieve inventory targets
- Drive continuous improvements across all areas of the branch
- Manage budgets and allocated funds
- Assess staff training requirements and play a key role in recruitment activities
- Lead and support staff engagement and build a proactive and productive working culture
- Ensure the highest level of accuracy in providing transactional data to head office
- Oversee all compliance and legal obligations relating to commercial, health and safety and human resources
- Responsible for the facilities, security and safety of the branch
- Lead and manage the department employees through regular reviews of performance
- Comply with Power Farming's quality, environmental and health and safety procedures

**About You**
- 5 years' experience in a leadership/managerial position involving multi-functional departments
- Ideally farm machinery, heavy diesel and automotive backgrounds will be considered
- Strong sales background must be demonstrated
- Good understanding of the NZ rural sector
- Understand CRM and retail-based systems experience
- Results driven and customer focused
- Excellent organisational skills that foster internal collaboration
- Can lead from the front and by example with a hands-on approach
- Have the ability to resolve human resource issues effectively
- Confident and strong character
