**_Full Time, Fixed Term Opportunity Available_**
The Enrolled Nurse - Pacific - Planned Care is primarily responsible for supporting Pacific patients through their healthcare journey to ensure they receive and attend timely appointments and treatments; whilst ensuring the provision of the organisation values of manaakitanga, kotahitanga, whanaungatanga, and rangatiratanga. The position will work closely and report to the Clinical Nurse Specialist - Pacific, planned Care, and will function as part of the wider, Fanau Ola, Pacific Health Team. They will competently support Pacific patients and families, coach and walk alongside them throughout their healthcare and be able to effectively develop and manage relationships to get the best outcomes for the individual and their whaanau as they navigate the health and social services to improve their health and independence.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent relational skills, the ability to work as a team member, is adaptable and flexible and adaptable to change, loves a challenge, and is innovative and solution focused. - 1-2 years’ experience practicing as Enrolled Nurse
- A good understanding of Pacific health paradigms.
- An understanding of the health system and the barriers for Pacific
- Preferred fluency in a Pacific Language (but not critical) and understanding of Pacific cultures, world views and excellent communication skills.
- Essential - Full NZ driver’s licence
