New Zealand Blood and Organ Service (NZBS) is dedicated to saving lives. Every year, tens of thousands of generous people donate their time, blood and plasma to us for free. In addition to our vein to vein service in transfusion we also provide national services in organ transplantation, cellular therapies and tissue banking. We exist to ensure the efficient delivery of safe blood and tissue products on a time critical basis throughout New Zealand and through the generosity of our donors, we are able to help save lives.

**About the team**

This role will join the HR Partner team. We're a small team with lofty ambitions for how we can impact the organisation and our colleagues. Having recently reviewed our team promise to the business we've added new focus areas of talent acquisition and employee engagement. We're also a team with a big heart and take time to support and celebrate one another personally and professionally. We love talking about the latest ideas from neuroscience, org psych and wellbeing and the opportunities these bring. And within our wider HR team you'll work with motivated colleagues who enjoy improving the way we do things and building strong relationships across the business through our portfolio model.

**About you**

You might currently be in a recruitment role and wanting to grow your HR partnering skills or be a HR advisor with a passion for attracting talent. Either way you'll get a buzz from finding great people and look forward to combining it with a HR generalist role. You'll have experience working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop plans and initiatives, take a flexible approach depending on the situation and be willing to try new things.

In addition, you will be:

- Curious about the business and what we are trying to achieve and be open to new ideas in the way we respond to opportunities and challenges
- Confident in building strong relationships with customers with experience in taking a joint problem solving approach
- Able to adapt to varying workloads and manage competing priorities
- Flexible to travel and visit NZBS sites across the Central and Southern regions on a regular basis
