**What You’ll Do**:

- Be the strategic heartbeat of our leadership, ensuring Whakaata Māori stays on course to meet its long-term goals and cultural vision.
- Lead and guide Te Tari Kaihautū (Chief Executive Office), driving cross-functional initiatives that align with both the strategic direction of the organisation and the values of te ao Māori.
- Forge strong relationships with government agencies and stakeholders, ensuring the voice of Whakaata Māori is heard and supported at the highest levels.
- Coordinate and manage leadership teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring seamless execution of our strategic projects.
- Oversee government relations and project management, ensuring that every initiative, from cultural revitalisation to media innovation, stays aligned with the organisation’s mission.

**What You Bring**:

- A deep understanding of te ao Māori and a passion for integrating Māori cultural values into everything you do.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic leadership, advisory roles, or governance, with a proven track record in project management and government relations.
- A natural communicator and collaborator, able to build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders alike, including key government agencies.
- Proactive leadership that anticipates challenges and opportunities, driving organisational growth and cultural success.
- Fluency in te reo Māori, or a strong commitment to learning, is highly desirable.
