**Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunity**

We are looking for an experienced Retail Salesperson for our 7 day trading, Palmerston North retail store for 20 hours per week

Reporting to our Palmerston North Business Manager, your key focus will be connecting daily with our Farmlands' shareholders in our store.

You'll also concentrate on:

- A variety of work in a combination of retail /yard capacity
- Providing retail sales and customer service to our shareholders
- Advising customers on a range of sheep and beef, dry stock and general agricultural products
- Operating a point of sale (POS) system
- Completing administrative tasks such as ordering and receipting of stock
- Restocking and displaying our products

We're looking for someone who has come from the farming and/or agricultural industry and understands our local farming community.

With proven experience in retail and customer service, you will enjoy connecting with our shareholders, assisting them with their daily requirements.
- You have a positive attitude and are keen to learn - we can train you on the rest
- You have sound computer skills
- You're physically fit as there will be lifting and manual handling tasks
- Are available for a full weekend per month

**Bonus Points for**
- A background in the farming sector
- A broad knowledge of agricultural products and services
- Knowledge in fencing / wood
- A forklift licence (F Endorsement)
