BreastScreen Waitematā Northland is part of Te Whatu Ora: Health New Zealand’s national BreastScreen Aotearoa Programme. We provide free screening mammograms to over 40,000 women each year to detect breast cancer early when it can be more easily treated. We pride ourselves on consistently delivering a positive experience for our clients.

We are looking for a Clinical Charge Nurse who will be integral in ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients & staff.

You will provide proactive, dynamic clinical leadership and operational management, coordinating the nursing component of the breast screening service to meet best practice standards of care, staff and resources, and to meet the needs of patients & their whanau to the highest standard. You will also provide direct clinical care and support team service delivery.

You will be accountable for the professional development of staff, ensuring they deliver excellence in clinical practice, managing clinical risk and implementing systems & processes to improve patient access to services.

**About you**:

- You will be a Registered Nurse with a current APC with the NZ Nursing Council
- You’ll ideally have a minimum of 5+ years in a clinical practice role within breast care, a post graduate certificate/diploma in breast care & clinical leadership
- You will have a current & up to date portfolio demonstrating competency in practice at level 4

Most importantly, you’ll have a passion for nursing care & education, improving patient experience and you'll bring a positive, enthusiastic attitude with a great sense of humour.
