We are looking for a motivated Building Surveyor to join our busy team. You will have at least 2 years experience in the construction industry. You will possess excellent communication skills and possess a proven track record with regard to working and meeting deadlines, show initiative, and pay attention to detail.

A full, clean driving license is required for this role.

**Tasks will include**:
General site observation.

Develop and run In-house training as part of ongoing CPD requirements.

Site inspection duties related to Building Consultancy works.

Site investigation inclusive of destructive testing work.

Contract administration and Project Management duties.

Site safety procedure for all sites.

Liaise with consultants to organise site inspections.

Report preparation, writing and peer review.

Set up project work in accordance with NZ Standards and managed and minimize any risks.

Monitoring work progress and communicate any risks / concerns to the engineer to the contract.

Obtain the necessary statutory approvals, property file and consents as required.

Ensure that the required drawings are prepared as and when required.

Research technical information as require required.

Assist with the preparation of all aspects of Expert Witness services

**Experience/qualifications required**

Degree or higher in Building Surveying/Commercial Property Surveying (Real Estate)

Minimum 2 years experience in the construction industry including developing, managing and delivering construction training programmes.

Experience in mentoring and supervising

Creativity with strong communication skills

A hard-working and motivated attitude

Location Auckland

Positions available 1

Employment is permanent and is for a minimum of 40hrs a week between 7:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday

Applicants must be able to work weekends and public holidays

Pay rate $68,000 to $72,000 depending on experience
