**Te** **kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

Fixed term opportunity within the business, the arborist grounds person is responsible for continuously improving the delivery of tree services to clients. The arborist grounds person undertakes supporting the arborists and trainee arborists in completing project work and/or tree contract works in designated areas contracted to Downer ensuring that a high quality, responsive service is delivered at all times. The arborist grounds person also ensures a high level of safety is adhered to in order to protect the public, other team members, and themselves.

**A bit about the role**:
As an Arborist Groundsperson, you will:

- Support the arborists and trainee arborist in completing projects and/or tree works
- Ensure high level of safety is adhered to
- Operational plants, equipment, and assist crew with activities as requested
- Ensure pre-start checks of plant items

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**

We are looking for a team member who has:

- Aptitude for arboriculture
- Familiar with electronic data entry or computer experience an advantage
- Self-motivated and ability to work in a team
- Minimum Full Class 1 Drivers Licence
