**Bupa Northhaven Care Home**are searching for an Activities Assistant with a creative flair to join our passionate team. This is a **permanent, full-time **position **(minimum 32 hours per week), working on rotating days with occasional weekend work and an increase in hours to cover leave on occasion.**Timings : Between 8.30am - 6.00pm, 7 days per week on a rotating roster.**

In this role, you will be supporting the Activities Coordinator, identifying the leisure activity needs of each of the **Northhaven Care Home** residents based on their interests, preferences, and abilities and contribute to the planning and implementation of individual and group activities programmes.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Participate and contribute to both individual and group programme activities.
- Contribute to the review and assessment of the residents' individual activities programme.
- Actively promote a homely, stimulating, and pleasant environment for the residents and their families.
- Develop and maintain excellent internal and external communication networks to support the activities programme.

**About You**
- An NZQA Certificate in Diversional Therapy Level is preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role within aged care is desirable.
- Display enthusiasm, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of residents.
- Demonstrate outstanding communication skills.
- A fun personality with a creative flair.
