National Women’s Health (NWH, at Auckland City Hospital) supports 6,500 births annually and provides national and regional services, as well as primary, secondary and tertiary maternity and gynaecological services to women. We have established subspecialty services in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynaecological Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Fertility.

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

As the Clinical Charge Midwife, you will be the go-to person for advice and support. You will work closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team and the Co-Charge Midwives.

The role will be based in Ward 98. This is the high-risk antenatal and postnatal inpatient area, for ADHB with a total of 23 physical bed spaces. We have also recently opened Whitinga ora pēpi, our 8 bedded newborn transitional care unit based on ward 96. The team in Whitinga ora pēpi work very closely with ward 98. As the national referral centre for maternal and neonatal cardiac medicine, as well as the tertiary referral centre for the Auckland Region and Northland we provide care for women and babies with complex medical needs. We provide woman centred care, and work in partnership with the woman, her whanau and her LMC.

There is the possibility of working part-time or full-time in this role.
