We currently have roles available in our newly formed Integration Centre of Excellence (CoE).The purpose of the Integration CoE is to upskill and upscale our Integration operating model so that we have the capability to support our future transformations and to be ready to migrate our existing on-premises services into the cloud. We will empower teams with the ability to satisfy their own integration demands by following pre-defined standards and frameworks and by using self-service models to access API’s. For a functioning CoE we require technically focussed Test Engineers to support the work and to create and maintain a set of reusable, automated, test collateral to ensure high quality and consistent outcomes for our customers and partners. This is an opportunity to establish and embed Test Engineering practices into a critical component of the Banks future technology landscape and as such we are seeking forward thinking, innovative Test Engineers who are keen to take on the challenge.

While the work is in the Integration CoE your “home” will be the Test Practice. The Test Practice is continually evolving, but has two key objectives:
Whilst we continue to successfully deliver testing services we aspire to mature into a true “shift-left” Test Engineering Practice that is integrated alongside our development colleagues to ensure testing is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.
We support and develop our people to ensure they will be equipped for the future. We have many mechanisms for this, including a huge ANZ repository of training and development material, but key is listening to what our people tell us and finding solutions to implement change

What will your day look like

**As a new starter you will have the opportunity to**:
Contribute to a collaborative and supportive environment with a focus on continuous improvement and empowering others
Showcase your thorough knowledge of the principles of Integration / API testing and contribute toward the evolution of our test engineering practices
Contribute to the testing effort in a cross functional scrum team and champion quality and continuous improvement
Demonstrate your strong written and verbal communication skills and to understand and manage stakeholder expectations
Participate and contribute to our Testing Communities of Practice
What will you bring?

Your attitude is important and a proven testing background are more critical than specific tools for this role. Environment and culture will be supportive and enable options.

Good software testing experience with a strong foundation in Test Automation
Proven working experience tools that support test automation. The following tools are useful but not essential, Rest Assured, Wire mocks, Postman, Jmeter, Rest sharp, Jenkins
Experience in coding with at least one programming language e.g. Java, C#, JS, Groovy
Experience using source control tools e.g., Git, Bitbucket
Experience developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks
Thorough knowledge of the principles of functional and non-functional testing, especially manual exploratory testing. This experience will form the foundation to develop “better ways” to achieve test outcomes in the future
Experience working in an agile environment and a working knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous integration and delivery is useful but not essential
An agile and open mindset, able to consider new ideas and approaches to complex situations
A focus on outcomes and a proven problem-solving ability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

**The following experience is advantageous**:
Previous experience in Banking Domain
Experience of working with Microservices
Understanding of non-functional testing
Leading test engineering at squad /team level
Splunk and dynatrace
