**About The Role**:
As a Data Analyst, your key objective is to utilize your analytical expertise to uncover valuable insights that drive evidence-based decision-making.
This role plays a crucial part in developing reports, visualizations, and analytical models to extract knowledge from data assets.
Additionally, you will engage with external clients, providing expert advice and support for interpreting and utilizing analytical solutions.
**What You'll Do**:
- Developing and maintaining analytical insights through data visualization solutions that support key features of the Valocity Global platforms
- Developing and maintaining interactive data visualization solutions that provide self-service insights capability to Valocity’s clients and supporting those clients in the use of, and interpretation of the data
- Producing visual assets (interactive or print formatted) for publications of our research and advisory capability relating to property market insights and trends, NZ and overseas
- Investigating and evaluating new data visualization techniques and solutions that may enable Valocity to innovate in the global property solution space
- Prototyping data sources, transformations and pipelines as needed to enable new insights solutions
- Extending the insights solutions with R/Python scripting as needed to implement more sophisticated analytical or visualization techniques
- Driving effective communication and transparency around the implications / opportunities surrounding the work of the analytics team i.e. improve the understanding of the analytical insights for stakeholders at all levels
**The Skills and Experience You Bring**:
- Minimum 3 years accumulated experience in data reporting and analytics roles
- Maths, Statistics, Computer Science or related degree with strong analytical components
- Competent PowerBI and/or Tableau Development Skills
- Competent SQL Skills (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS platforms)
- Competent R and/or Python scripting skills
- Research and fact-based approach to problem solving evidenced with data
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to produce excellent work for clients and internal needs
