Join us as a Senior Assembler for the Smart Power Division in our Electrification Business Area. Help achieve set production targets by assembling power conditioning units using hand and smart tools. Be responsible for quality checks and supporting the line leader in production functions, problem solving and data collection. The Senior Assembler also plays a vital role in assisting with the training of our Production Assemblers. Your past production assembly experience will enable you to successfully train those new to the role or looking to further develop their assembly skills in accordance with our internal development program. This position will be based in Napier, New Zealand.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Conducting all types of assembly work to produce a semi-finished or final products/systems/panel, including the packing where integrated with production lines
- Providing staff training and working manually or by using light hand tools
- Testing regularly on quality as part of a defined production process
- Conducting shop floor operation in compliance with health and safety guidelines
- Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area
- Participating in the definition of action plans, training of relevant production teams, supporting line leader functions as required and other support activities

**Your background**:

- Electrical and mechanical product / system assembly experience
- Proven training, leadership, or coaching experience in a high performing team
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge and experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- Experience in SAP or similar MRP system
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for continuous improvement and desire to improve quality, operational excellence, and drive data collection
