Here is a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Timber Machinist and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the manufacturing side of the business

**About the role**:

- Planning, scheduling and processing of jobs to meet targets.
- Set up of machinery, including heads, for production runs.
- Operate machinery to process timber safely and efficiently.
- Effectively run planers, bandsaws and other machinery.
- Continuous quality checks whilst processing to ensure product is manufactured as per drawings and specifications.
- Keep the working environment tidy and in good condition and ensure maintenance is carried out as is required.
- You will be required to assist management in best processes using your extensive timber knowledge.

**About you**:

- You are a qualified Timber Machinist - holding a NZQA Level 4 Timber Machinist qualification or better. We will also consider proven working experience within a similar role.
- You have indepth knowledge of timber processing, timber characteristics, sizes and quality.
- Knowledge of safety procedures in the wood processing plant.
- Have problem solving and decision making skills.
- You are mechanically minded,mature, self motivated, reliable and able to use your initiative.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Have the ability to work well under pressure to tight timeframes.
- Take pride in your work.

**Benefits**:
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 6am-4/4.30pm, 45 hours per week. You will have the option to work on a Saturday from 6am - 11/12noon.
