**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**
We are enthusiastic about enabling our communities to access heritage and taonga tuku iho to inspire and connect whānau Māori. The Poukōkiri Whakaaturanga Taonga role facilitates this mahi and seeks to develop community understanding, connection, and sense of identity by guiding people to effectively access Māori taonga tuku iho within the heritage collections.
You will possess a broad understanding of mātauranga Māori and work collaboratively with other kaimahi to promote a dynamic understanding of taonga Māori and mātauranga Māori held within the Heritage Collections. You will create opportunities for community collaboration that is new, innovative and offer fresh interpretations that uplift the mauri of these items.
**He kōrero mōu: About you**
You will be well grounded in te reo and tikanga Māori and have experience in creative and collaborative relationships. Your knowledge and experience will support communities to deepen their knowledge of and access to mātauranga Māori.
You will enjoy the potential of a role that will make a significant contribution to growing awareness of taonga tuku iho and Māori heritage.
