position)
The theatre department at Wairau Hospital provides
public acute, elective and private services. We are a friendly and supportive
team focusing on providing a caring and professional environment. Our Theatre
Suite consists of 6 Operating Theatres with a Recovery Room, a Sterile Services
department and Endoscopy suite. This role supports the Theatre Clinical Manager
in mentoring and coaching a team of 15 Sterile Services and Theatre
Technicians.
This is a permanent full-time position working 80
hours a fortnight. Shifts will be rostered and rotating and may include
weekends and on-call.
The salary for this full-time position is within the
range $65,981 to $68,373 (Steps 5 to 6) of the Allied Public Health &
Technical MECA dependent on skills, experience, and qualifications.

To commence in this role you will have a minimum of
two years - recent sterilising unit experience, great interpersonal and
leadership skills, loads of initiative and a relevant qualification.
You will have the skills to build and develop a productive
and cohesive team environment through the setting of clear goals, implementation
of sound work processes, and providing constructive feedback.

**Additionally you will**:

- be highly organised
- have a positive attitude and act as a role model
- establish and maintain positive professional

relationships
- inspire and motivate others and build resilience
in the team.Experience with rostering, training staff and managing
their day-to-day performance, as well as oversight of budgets and developing
and reporting on KPIs and national standards would be a distinct advantage;
however, training can be provided.
