We are seeking a proven Senior Market Research Analyst to join our team and help make it safe, clear and easy for migrants and employers to understand and use the immigration system. By gathering direct feedback from customers and deeply understanding the customer experience, your research will inform the development of a complete customer-centric experience at Immigration New Zealand (INZ). You will bring fresh perspectives into customer interactions with systematic and fast-paced delivery.

You will be a proactive professional that can use their head for qualitative research to deliver high quality insights to tight deadlines. You will have strong customer empathy and be driven to continuously improve through research practice and delivery.

This is permanent, full-time role in which you will lead or contribute to our newly-established market research function.

You will be part of a team that delivers end-to-end qualitative research - from initial scoping and planning phases through to design and interpretation of recommendations.

Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and experience required:

- Proven project-based market/qualitative research deliverables with insights to support implementation of customer improvements.
- Experience in project-based deep dives that really understand the customer needs now and in the future.
- Previous design and delivery of systematic processes that will enable story telling outcomes.
- Delivery of user experience that enables digital designers to deliver customer centric outcomes.
- Experience of engaging others with new ways of working, agile thinking, and responsive feedback for the benefit of the customer within the operating model.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills to build effective relationships across MBIE and with external stakeholders.
- Flexible, a life learner, a person who brings a ‘can do’ attitude to work every day.
- The ability to think ahead, use initiative and take others on the journey.
- A person of integrity, with high professional standards and an awareness of the need for complete confidentiality.
